A decorative copper line engraving on paper originally produced to accompany John Speed's "The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine" published in 1611. The present map comes from Henry Overton's edition circa 1710. A very desirable map of the County with Shields, Royal Arms and an inset plan of Carlisle
